Martin is a Goldsmith with over 30 years extensive trade experience whose career began in 1989. Following a traditional bench skills City and Guilds course for Diamond Mounting (ADV) and Casting he began a Diamond Mounting practical apprenticeship with esteemed London Jewellers, Brown & Newirth. His apprenticeship was completed after 5 years and he was invited to stay on and work for Brown & Newirth permanently,  where he worked for over 20 years.

In 2012 Martin established his own Retail Jewellers with a traditional jewellery workshop in Essex where he specialises in designing Fine Jewellery in all precious metals and gemstones.

His work is in demand and occasionally,  as time permits between commissions,  he shares his skills by teaching new generation jewellery students in his workshop.
